Application/Reporting Requirements

All scholarship/grant applicants must have a sponsor, who is usually a Peace Corps Volunteer (PCV). Individual sponsors (PCVs) may solicit up to 4 scholarships equivalent to no more than US$250 each or a total of US$1,000 in any given year. In most instances, scholarship recipients are eligible for only one scholarship.

The FQ Board of Directors has set the goal of distributing US$12,000 annually. These funds will be distributed quarterly at a rate of US$3,000 each quarter. Total funding is subject to change at the discretion of the Washington-based board.

The local committee proposes the following schedule for application submissions. Individuals must have proposals submitted by the submission deadlines listed below in order to be considered for funding. Decisions on whether scholarships will be funded will be made within 30 days, upon which date sponsors will be notified.

Applications are available on the desktops of all PCV computers. We encourage PCVs to involve the applicants in as much of the process as possible, therefore PCVs may print or e-mail themselves a copy of the application and have applicants fill out the proposal along with the PCV. All applications must be submitted electronically and sent to the following e-mail address: fondoquisqueyadr@yahoo.com Photos should be given to your PC contact. All PCVs will receive electronic responses to their proposal requests by the deadlines listed above.

A progress report should be sent (electronically) at the mid point of the training; this should be followed by a final report after the training is complete.
